The bowed timber lintel hewn out of a log is of lower quality than those elsewhere in the property. It is consistent with the penetration for the doorway being made when both No. 32 and No. 30 were occupied by Messrs York & Sons in the 1890s.
The replacement concrete lintels have been successfully inserted by Kevin & John though there is still some masonry above to be completed by Dr Cattermole.
